Confirmed! Charging & Free Parking for Volt at LAX

There’s been some confusion recently about whether or not Volt owners get to park for free at one of the terribly convenient EV charging stations at LAX.  Earlier this week I had my own run in with an otherwise friendly parking attendant when I tried to argue against the $89 they wanted for my two-day stay.

Turns out it was all a miscommunication.  Or rather, a lack of communication internally with the parking lot staff.  However, I was assured today by LAX that Volt is approved to plug-in and recharge at one of the ChargePoint stations and get free parking.  Apparently everybody had been told this except for the individuals who actually let you out of the parking lot.

Hopefully this will eliminate further toll booth stand-offs for all of us.  If not, let me know – I now have the name and cell phone number of the person who controls the exit gate …

P.S. I used to do everything in my power to fly in and out of anywhere but LAX.  This snazzy little perk changes everything.
